When we deploy .net application code to server many time I get error some ell is in use and deployment gets failed. Errorcode it throws is -4001.
As workaround we reboot the server and do the deployment again which solves the problem. We use BMC Bladelogic to deploy a package.
Could anyone help me to fix this issue permanently?
1. What would be the reason that out of many some ell are used ?
2. If I have access to server I try to delete used ell which gives me process using it, most of the time it is w3wp internet service and in task manager there are lot of instances of it. How to determine which one is exact? here App Pool is set to Network services ID?
3. I want to create one small application where I will give server name and any file which is in use and it should give me process it is using it and then my tool should kill that process.-- Anybody can help me on this
